Enters the spring and summer seasons, and the weather is getting warmer. I suddenly remembered that a lady’s friend came to Taiwan from distant and cold Iceland to do uterine fibroid surgery last year.
She has lived in this island country in the North Atlantic Ocean for a long time. She has been aware for years that she has uterine fibroids. She sought treatment in Iceland but did not get the desired solution. She contacted me via the Internet. After a period of online consultation, she decided to return to Taiwan for surgery in the middle of last year.
I received a letter from her last Christmas. I thought of this patient and feel very warm. Thanks for her trust. Being able to help global female patients solve long-term problems is the greatest joy of practicing medicine.
Sharing this letter from a patient in Iceland:
Dr. Dear Chen:
Thank you very much for the opportunity to provide online consultation, which allowed me to complete the surgery in just 60 days when I returned to Taiwan. My doctor in Iceland said that there is another couple who have the same problem as me, waiting in line for surgery After waiting for a year and a half, it was finally completed in mid-August this year, so I am very glad that I chose to return to Taiwan to seek Dr. Chen’s help^_^
